In order to prove the application of linear segmentation control with variable parameters in digital auto-leveling control system, author introduced the control structure and control methods of auto-leveling system and analyzed the working principle and characteristics of segmentation control. Test bench for digital control system of auto-leveling system of asphalt paver was established in laboratory.Author designed three control schemes:ordinary solenoid valve scheme, high speed on-off solenoid valve scheme and segmentation control scheme. Through experiment, the response time and overshoot of the three schemes under step disturbance were obtained. The results show that the segmentation control in auto-leveling system has less response time, and bigger overshoot.
