China Journal of Highway and Transport (abbreviated as China J. Highw. Transp., CJHT) (monthly, ISSN 1001-7372, CN 61-1313/U) is sponsored by China Highway & Transportation Society, published its first issue since 1988. Nowadays, CJHT is the most authoritative academic journal in the field of highway and transport in China.

To better meet the needs of authors and readers, China Journal of Highway and Transport changed from a quarterly upon its founding to a bimonthly (2006) and then to a monthly (2014), with an average annual publication volume of approximately 280 articles over the past five years.

According to the 2025 China Scientific and Technical Journal Citation Report (Core Edition), the impact factor of China Journal of Highway and Transport in 2024 reached 2.433, ranking first in its discipline for consecutive years. The journal’s comprehensive evaluation score ranks 8th among more than 2,100 natural science journals. According to the Annual Report on the Impact Factor of Chinese Academic Journals (2024 Edition), the composite impact factor of the journal is 4.724, ranking first in its discipline for 11 consecutive years. The 5-year impact factor is 6.434, and the Clout Index (CI) has also ranked first for 11 consecutive years among approximately 160 journals in the field of transportation engineering in China.
