Dynamic Numerical Simulation and Experiment for Vehicle and Curved Concrete Barriers Crash

Abstract

Through comparison analysis between dynamic numerical simulation result for vehicle and curved concrete barriers crash and field vehicle full scale crash tests, accuracy of dynamic numerical simulation results was verified through 3 aspects. Authors analyzed influence of curved concrete barriers curve radius on impact acceleration in process of occupant crash. Barriers type of curved rail has huge influence on occupant safety in crash. The worst barrier radius for occupant risk was got. The results show that finite element simulation is an effective method for vehicle and barriers crash research.
