Abstract

Based on activity theory, advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of research method and model system in the research field of activity travel decision behavior were evaluated from the aspects of influences of traffic information on departure time, travel path, selection of travel mode, arrangement of daily activity and its effective mechanism. Through the analysis of more than 10 years of research development in the research field of travel behavior under effect of traffic information and limitation of information induced travel behavior was summarized. The way of predicted method for improved activity-travel behavior was discussed. Results show that the weak points of current research were pointed out. It provides correct cognition and reasonable thought of using traffic information for planning management department.
