Effects of Aerodynamic Parameters on Coupled Dynamic Responses of Wind-vehicle-bridge System

Abstract

A coupled dynamic analysis model of wind-vehicle-bridge system by combining Lagrange method, the principle of virtual work and the mode superposition method was established, the calculation formulas of aerodynamic coefficients of vehicle were fitted considering the aerodynamic interference between vehicles and the bridge, a coupled dynamic analysis method of wind-vehicle-bridge system was developed and the computation program was built in this study. Taking Jiangshun Yangtze bridge as an example, effects of the aerodynamic parameters of vehicle-bridge system on coupled dynamic response of bridge and vehicle under cross wind were discussed. The results show that the bridge aerodynamic parameters have significant effects on the coupled dynamic responses of bridge, but slight impacts on dynamic responses of the vehicle. The vehicle aerodynamic parameters have essentially no impact on the responses of bridge while have a great impact on the responses of vehicle.
